Who designed Volunteer Impact?
Volunteer Impact Enterprise is designed by Volunteer². Our volunteer software started out as a volunteer project where some custom software was going to be written and offered for free to a local hospice that was founded by Volunteer²’s president.
Although seemingly a good idea at the time, it became quickly apparent that the donation model would have resulted in a system that was drastically far from its potential from the start and would fall further behind as technologies evolved. Given the combination of predictions of how the internet would grow to become intertwined in our lives and how it would help nonprofits coordinate the work of its volunteers in new ways, this would-be volunteer project was transformed into the genesis of Volunteer².

How long has Volunteer² been in business?
The company was founded in 2000 and the first version of Volunteer Impact was launched in 2002.

Why web based software?
With web based software you can access your data anywhere including mobile devices such as iPads and iPhones. The SaaS model applications are accessed simply through the internet and can run on any browser as well as Mac OS, Linux or Windosws computers.There is no installation required which means less burden on IT departments and Volunteer² is responsible for all upgrades and software maintenance, so that you can spend more time on your core business rather than managing the application.

Can the pages that the volunteers see be branded with our own town / city / county graphics?
Yes.

How is training provided?
We offer training and consulting in whatever manner will suit your needs. We travel to you and train live in groups.

Do we have to install anything on our computers?
No. All you need on your computer is a web browser ( Microsoft™ Explorer version 8 or newer, or Firefox™ version 5 or newer, Safari™ version 5 or newer).

Can we use the software over a network?
Yes, as long as your network can access the internet, you can use the software.

What computer hardware do we need to operate the software?
Our software works with PC's or Macs.

Is information about the volunteer used by anyone for any purpose other than related to this service?
Absolutely not. Our licensing agreement prohibits us from using the data ourselves or providing it in any way to others.

Can volunteers see the records of other volunteers?
No, a volunteer can only see generic information about the agency (e.g. volunteer opportunities) and personal information about herself or himself.

What happens if a volunteer forgets the password?
The volunteer can submit an online request to send the password to the email address that is on file related to that username and password. |
